Apparently Whitby Council recently voted to demolish the entire Whitby Psych site with the exception of 3 smaller buildings (this being one of them), on recommendation from the local architectural historical board. What kind of heritage group recommends destroying this part of Ontario's history in order to make way for a boring developer's subdivision which will be the architectural equivalent of muzak? You've got to think the developer 'owns' someone (or many people) on the board...
