In a darker area of the plant I found another row of the wood barrels — much smaller than the large room of them — but with a number of mechanical rollers above them. Were these presses?

The photo is unfortunately a little blurry (it was too dark to see or focus properly), and the chemical smell in the area was a little disconcerting so I didn't stick around longer to investigate.
