Totten Headframe, Pump House & Dry Aug 1, 2005

These buildings are situated at the top of a small hill and the headframe is visible in the distance while driving around the surrounding area. The headframe is the structure in the center, the pump house is on the left, and the ‘dry’ (change rooms) and administration offices are on the right. Unfortunately the site is quite decidedly shut down — the doors and windows have not been boarded up but rather they've been filled in with concrete block. Some enterprising individuals had made access to the buildings possible (difficult, but possible). Unfortunately the interiors were fairly non-descript spaces with little of note.

This concludes our return visit to the industrial landscapes of Sudbury. Unfortunately our visit was cut short by (gasp) snow — in May! Maybe next year...
