The sofa was what caused me to take the photo in the first place, but ultimately it was the broken door to darkness that I liked more. I had toyed with the idea of moving the garbage before taking the shot (or doing it later in Photoshop) but somehow that just seemed wrong.

It's a bit of a contradictory stance given my promotion of post-work at times but I won't attempt to explain it. In any event as you can see Mr. Garbagecan remained.
