Production Floor Jul 1, 2005
A few signs were found on this floor describing quality control processes and safety issues. My guess is much of the production work happened here but the place was so cleaned out that it's really hard to guess how the spaces were used. Unfortunately the floor was also in its most poor condition in this area which halted any further exploration.
As with most industrial buildings built before electricity was plentiful, the space was designed for natural lighting. The sawtooth pattern roof structure had skylights at regular intervals providing for a consistently bright interior that didn't require artificial lighting. Architects seem to have forgotten how to do this.
