Cave Rock Wasp Oct 27, 2005

Wasp? Hornet? I'm not sure (nor does it really matter). We had noticed a sign for the 'Cave Rock' state park and I'll admit the name sounded like there was great potential there. Except — no cave. Just some rocks. The 'state park' was literally a parking lot with some benches for picnics and a place to launch boats. The name had some historic significance to the native people who lived there long ago but now? Not much to see. So why the story? Just to explain how I found a wasp to be the most interesting thing at this particular state park.
