Haystack Bay by Three Quarter Moon Aug 16, 2005
I've been meaning to try some long-exposure night shots but just haven't had the chance or time yet. But last night was a good opportunity — no clouds, almost a full moon and no morning meetings. The exposure time for this was 899 seconds.
I like how the moon reflection in the water is lined up against the edge of the dock here. Unfortunately there was only one chance to get it — after that long an exposure the moon had moved on. Hopefully it'll be as good a night tonight and I'll get to start experimenting a bit.
