Catwalk and Pipes Oct 27, 2004

Here's another from Atlas Steels, with Andrew on the catwalk on the side of the building in front of some huge pipe leading to another building.

That pipe is maybe 15-20' in diameter — huge! I've no idea what it's for. Then again, I also have no idea how a steel plant works.

The catwalk was surprisingly safe and sturdy. And that's a good thing, because according to the image at the side, Atlas Steels seems to be highly intolerant of accidents.
