Just Another Abandoned Hallway Sep 6, 2004

Yesterday I went with Andrew (shown here) to check out the abandoned WSIB complex.

Overall, I'd say it was a disappointment. Of course, there were moments (the swimming pool being one) but the place has been stripped bare and all that remains is the building. And that is no more interesting architecturally than a 1970s elementary school. More so that there weren't even any layers of decay or age to provide added history — the place was in great shape.

So... it was fun to go, but it wasn't the most photogenic of places. Andrew has some good photos of the pool on his site at the moment, and I'll scrape through what I've got and probably post some more in the next few days.

Today I'm taking Jenn to the CNE (her first time, my first time back in about 15 years).
