I met up with a number of other urban explorers today and didn't get a chance to post anything until late afternoon. I wandered home through Mount Pleasant Cemetery and thought this find worked well for this week's PhotoFriday challenge, 'Tranquility'.
It certainly wasn't tranquility which brought this statue to the state in which it remains. Its darkness is due to what looks like an attempt to burn it (not just marks from ordinary pollution), and the reason why the head is cropped out is because it has been vandalized and broken off. Nothing's sacred to some people...
