Gardiner Expressway (Discovery) Apr 16, 2004

I was happy to discover a working ruin today! While walking around the Fort York area, I found that there is a large portion of the Gardiner Expressway under which you can walk. In many ways it feels like an old temple, because of the height and repeating columns.

Granted it's a rusting eyesore which most people want to remove, but it's a very different experience walking underneath this rather than driving. I was very happy to find this space today..

I also have a black & white version of this image which I like equally as much as the colour, so deciding which one to put online was quite a challenge. I'm still undecided as to which is better.
