The Theatre

We went to see a play yesterday about the assassins of the presidents of the United States.

What was amusing was all of the posters outside the theatre with the following notice:

WARNING:

There will be extremely loud shots fired on stage. All guns used on stage are Props. They cannot fire or be made to fire real ammunition. They are made for theatrical purposes only. NOTE: ALL GUNS ON STAGE ARE REPLICAS. THEY ARE NOT REAL GUNS.

Given that these notices were posted every 5-10 feet, there was little chance of anyone missing the point. But does anyone *really* believe actors would be firing real guns on stage, into the audience? Perhaps people need to watch a little less TV..
