about this site. (do you really want to know?)

The Photoblog:

It's a hobby -- I do this because I enjoy it. I also enjoy crawling around dark abandoned buildings. Somehow these activities accomodate each other.

Yes, I use Photoshop. You know what? All those photographers shooting film? They use (believe it or not), *darkrooms*. They're the same thing. Get over it.

The photoblog software? All custom-developed, designed and programmed by yours truly. Unfortunately that also means I'm my own tech support...

The Equipment:

Stone-age (pre- March 18 2005): Canon G2 (a wonderful little point-and-shoot workhorse).

Golden-age (post- March 18 2005): Canon Digital Rebel XT (digital SLR). For those that want more details... with the dSLR I use these: Canon 17-85mm EF-S IS USM f4-5.6, Canon 50mm f1.8, Zenitar 16mm fisheye f2.8.

Common Questions:

  1. Is it ok to critique your photos?
Please do! I'd love to see more constructive criticism &mdash it's a great way for me to improve.
  2. Do you sell prints?
Yes -- prints are available for most of the work on the site. Email me for details.
  3. Can I use one of your photos for my magazine/video/album cover/web site etc.?
Only with my permission, but I'm pretty open to such ideas. So please email me with the details and we'll see what we can work out.

Who Am I?

I'm amazed you're even curious. But let's pretend you are. I'm an amateur photographer with a degree in architecture working as a multimedia producer and programmer in Toronto, Canada. I've got to be able to make a profession out of one of those things.

Daily Photography Elsewhere

Yeah, this probably looks like a big ego trip but I swear it's not. Or at least that's what I'll pretend. So let's get on with it...
