(Almost) Pole Position  (Feb 6, 2005)

While the photo is of questionable quality, I'm including it more for a further documentation of the races we had yesterday. For the road circuit, my brother had the pole position, while I was in the second spot. Just before we started the race I snatched the camera out of my pocket, held it over my shoulder and shot a blind shot. That explains the quality of the shot. :)

Pointing at the camera is John who had the second position (to my pole position) in the oval track just after this race. This is also my lame attempt at having 'people' shots on the site. Hah.

its funny how you can make even a blind shot look great.

I love this kind of racing. You can just "see" the anticipation with everyone else (but John) as they're all looking around behind them to check out the competition. Lots of fun

It works. That's what it looks like when you turn around (only sometimes they're closer

Pretty good for a blind shot! I like the angle, nice toning and a great feeling of anticipation conveyed here.

This one makes me so happy! I love the bright reflections from everywhere, and the crazy angle, and the way that it almost looks like you are looking into the eternity effect in a mirror. The cars on the left are all evensy spaced and the drivers all seem to be in the same pose, just like the drivers on the right, Along with the repeating lines and shapes on the ceiling and walls. I can almost hear the engines buzzing! I don't think you could have done this one any better if you had been able to see what you were doing.
