Hydro-Electric Generating StationThese photos are from a visit to an abandoned hydro-electric generating station in Niagara Falls, Ontario in January 2005. Because of the light quality that day, this location rates as one of the most beautiful I've ever visited. The building was arranged as two large halls (the turbine/generator area and the forebay) with a separate administration area. All windows along the turbine hall were covered with white plastic sheets so the entire wall acted as a huge light diffuser giving it an amazing character. |
