Bethlehem Steel Panorama

The entire site is divided by a water channel (for shipping) but even this panorama only shows perhaps one half of the site which we visited. The area to the right was seen on my first visit, and the area to the left on my second. Just to the left of the huge covered salt pile is an active rail line which was in use last time I was there.

My last memory of working at the plant was standing along this ship canal around 3 am watching the Edmund Foy bring in the last load of ore for the Blast furnaces. Whoever was on that ship pointed its spot light upon me and blew the ships whistle, almost in mourning Never forget that sight as long as I live
