Hello, Dolly  (Jan 19, 2006)

For some reason I really enjoy this one. I shot it during my first visit to this location but was a little unhappy with the positioning. So when I returned the next time I made sure to reshoot this and happily it was still where I found it the first time (and luckily the light quality was similar). It's just a simple little everyday object but I guess those are the things I tend to focus on.

Update July 30 2006: I've added a gallery of photos from this location. The gallery is available here: Lakeview Generating Station gallery.

Exhibition: The In Transit exhibition launches tonight (Thursday, Jan 19th) at 7pm at the Toronto Free Gallery and I've got a few photos on display. Feel free to drop by!

Outstanding! I like the contrast of red and green. Also that light coming from behind that coloumn or whatever makes you what to peek around the corner to see what's bext.

Yeah, I really like this one, too. The colours really work.

The color and simplicity really make this one work. And for some reason, I think the dolly's shadow makes all the difference in this picture (I can't quite explain why).

I like this photo a lot for all reasons everyone else has said. Plus the title is cool!

Those columns look to me as if they are sitting ON rather than running through the grate on the floor. I hope no one expects that little dolly to move them!

The little red Dolly is adorable!!! Shame to be left alone like that. Cast off before its time....

HAHA!!! Good title Kendall. The colors in this photo are outstanding and it just comes to show once again how you can turn anything into a piece of art.

You have an odd but refreshing sense of humour. I don't feel alone for taking pictures of mailboxs lol
