Layers of Forest Nov 14, 2005

The foreground is the island inside Emerald Bay (at Lake Tahoe). What I like about this is the simple layering effect (which appears fake). Otherwise, it's a bunch of trees. Depending on your monitor brightness, this might appear as a really dark mess.

Other news... I'm starting to get caught up. My laptop hard drive decided to kill itself last Friday. I'm getting close to having everything back to normal now. Luckily (because I backup fairly often) I only lost about 0.5% of the data I had, but I still have to reinstall every application and utility all over again. That's never fun. :/
